Professor Warren, aka PROFESSOR SUPERMIND, created the Super-Machine, with which he gave his son (DAN WARREN) magnetic powers. At first Dan was a force for good, but later, calling himself VORTEX, decided that he would rather control the world than save it.
Filled with regret, Professor Warren was left with no choice but to gather a group of brave men to oppose his own son.
They were known as THE ATOMIC SQUAD.
Over time, a second team was formed mixing new and old members, but always with the same goal: Save the World.
